Truckload For Charity
Hey There, this is Andrew McCracken, Founder and President of Truckload For Charity. I started Truckload For Charity back in 2020, when the world was shaken up with Covid and the divided political environment. My idea was to raise money to fill up my truckbed with as much food as I could, and deliver it to the Orange County Rescue Mission the day before Thanksgiving. I wanted to feel like I was doing something productive and positive in the community.
The idea was born out of a realization that many in our community were struggling to access meals, a fundamental necessity for a fulfilling life. We believe that addressing food insecurity and filling the stomachs of those in need will, in turn, open hearts and fill hearts with hope. We very much believe that we are delivering hope, one truckload at a time.

In that very first year of Truckload For Charity, by asking friends and family to donate via Venmo, we were able to raise about $2,600! With this money, I went to grocery stores and wholesale clubs, and with a team of volunteer friends and family, we were able to purchase enough food to fill up 4 pickup trucks!

Through four years of Truckload for Charity, we have been able to raise over $21,000, which went directly to purchasing non-perishable food items, water, diapers, formula, and other household necessities. Our volunteer support has grown every year along with the amount of trucks needed to load and deliver all that we collect. We feel so strongly about our mission that we became an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the intention of growing and looking for more ways and areas where we can give. What started as a backyard movement in 2020 has led to positive life change, and we are excited about the future of our growing impact, all thanks to your support. Thank you!
